Fantastic! My 82-year-old mom and I spent 3 nights there submerged in nature. We opened our doors on both sides of our beautiful room and looked at the palms, the Caribbean Sea, enjoyed the breeze. We were welcomed by the owner and her "right hand", Juana (dressed in a colorfully tropical dress). We were introduced to the place: spacious, well-maintained land, immaculate, spacious rooms hidden in greenery, the main, social area (luxurious), and the big swimming pool (you can actually SWIM in it it is so big). We were treated by the owner, Monica, and her husband, and Juana as family. No exaggeration. We spend calm, enjoyable few days at Territorio Magico, visiting nearby flamingo reserve and chilling by the pool. Such an amazing trip we had at territorio Magico, everything was beyond our expectations. The house, the pool, the beach and the dreamy dawns and sunsets were just amazing. We want to thank Dilia and the rest of the staff, the food was so delicious and fresh and their kindness an love to do everything to spoils us was very inspiring and fulfilling. Seriously this place is a must to go, don’t miss it!!

If you're yearning for an escape from the hustle and bustle to reconnect with Colombia's breathtaking natural beauty and the unparalleled warmth of its people, Territorio Magico is the perfect choice! Tucked away in a remote village in "La Guajira" at the northeastern tip of the country, the journey itself is a part of the disconnect. Upon landing in Riohacha, the state's capital and the hotel's recommended point of arrival, arrange for a Territorio Magico vehicle (approximately US$80). This chauffeured ride securely transports you from the airport to the compound's entrance in about an hour. Before you know it, you're welcomed by one of the hostesses, ushered to your room, and enveloped by the rhythm of the Caribbean sea and the invigorating fresh air. With only four rooms accommodating a total of 16 guests, privacy reigns supreme. During our four-night stay, we were the sole occupants. The heart of the property is a sizable pool, approximately 50 feet (17m) in length, nestled amidst greenery, coconut palm trees, hammocks, and the main building. A mere 250-meter stroll (my estimate!) within the hotel's confines leads you to the Caribbean Sea, where its gentle waves caress a sandy beach stretching for hundreds of meters in both directions. Here, you can bask in the sun, collect seashells from the sand, or venture into open-sea swims if that's your preference. Early mornings may treat you to the sight of a few fishermen diligently at work, seeking the catch of the day. The menu boasts a distinctly Colombian and local flair. Simple yet delicious dishes are offered at reasonable prices by international standards (approximately USD$7 for breakfast, USD$15-20 for lunch and dinner dishes). Generous portions make every meal a delight, with personal favorites including the "arepa de huevo" with "Cayeye" and "hogao" for breakfast, and the fish/lobster dishes for lunch and dinner (especially the Robalo Ceviche!). For those inclined to indulge, ordering a bottle early on is advisable, as liquor flows freely in the tropics, and it's more economical than purchasing "by the glass." Savor "empanadas," "carimanolas," and "patacones con hogao" with an ice-cold Aguila beer, then surrender to the allure of a hammock nap. Rinse and repeat! For an encounter with wild flamingos, venture to "Los Caracoles," situated between the hotel and the Riohacha airport. The natural reserve is serene and captivating, and the park guides recommended by Territorio Magico are both knowledgeable and amiable. Remember to pack ample sunblock and water for the bird-spotting tour, which could last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on the day's conditions. Anticipate early starts and finishes to your days, aligning with nature's intended rhythm. Hydrate with straight-from-the-palm coconut water (USD$2) machete-opened by a hotel employee. This place is amazing! I will go back every time I get the chance to. The house is gorgeous, the pool is beautiful, rooms are spacious and cozy, the food is exquisite, the hosts are loving and caring and make you feel welcome and at home. I could not recomment it enough. A hidden gem!
